The next two weeks will be a thrilling celebration of the WSOP Paradise Island Series. Event #1: $2,500 Mini Main Event Day 1b The $2,500 Mini Main Event Day 1b attracted a total of 937 entries, with only 73 players making it through to the next round. Event #2: $100,000 Triton Million Invitational

The prestigious $100,000 Triton Million Invitational has officially concluded its entry phase, with 96 entries, including 22 re-entries, creating a prize pool of $48 million.

Triton Million Trophy

The first-place winner will take home an impressive $12,070,000, along with a WSOP gold bracelet and the Triton trophy. The top 17 players are guaranteed at least $755,000 in prize money.

Michael Moncek

At the conclusion of Day 2, only 14 players remain in contention. Michael Moncek, who led the Day 1 chip counts, continued his strong performance on Day 2, retaining the lead with 125k in chips. Moncek has become a fan favorite for his aggressive playstyle and nearly 100% VPIP (voluntarily put money in pot). However, after suffering a loss of nearly $2 million in the high-stakes cash games, Moncek had a tough summer. Now, he hopes to recover his losses and add to his winnings. Following Moncek are Daniel Dvoress with 123.5k and Alejandro Lococo with 107.75k.

Day 2 Chip Counts

Notable players who fell short of the money include Phil Ivey, Jason Koon, Patrik Antonius, Isaac Haxton, Nick Schulman, and Justin Bonomo.

This marked Daniel Negreanu's first appearance in a Triton event, and despite being a newcomer, he made it to Day 2. However, in Level 12 (Blinds 15,000/30,000/30,000), his AK failed to overcome Kayhan Mokri's KK, and he was eliminated in 58th place. Although Ivey and Daniel Negreanu did not make it to the end, they still have multiple opportunities to win their second gold bracelet of the year, as there are several events left on the schedule.

ST Wang

ST Wang Takes Over the Torch

Despite the early exits of players like Biao Ding and Elton Tsang, ST Wang has taken up the mantle for the Chinese players and advanced with the hopes of many. At the end of Day 2, ST Wang qualified for the next round with a chip stack of 1,000,000. While he holds the smallest stack among the remaining players, poker is unpredictable, and anything can happen. We wish him the best of luck in making an incredible comeback.
